Welcome to The Marine Spares. By accessing or using our platform, website, and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Overview of the Service
The Marine Spares is a B2B matching marketplace that connects buyers (ship owners, managers, operators) with suppliers and stockists of marine spare parts worldwide.
The Platform provides a space to post requirements, send quotations, negotiate, and exchange contact details upon mutual agreement.
The Marine Spares is purely a networking and communication facilitator. We are not a party to any transactions, contracts, payment processing, logistics, shipping, or quality checks between Buyers and Suppliers.
Account Registration & Business Verification
- Mandatory Verification: To ensure a safe and professional environment, all users must register and complete the business verification process.
- Verification Requirements: Users must submit authentic business profiles, company documentation, and legitimate contact details.
- Access Restriction: Unverified accounts cannot post requirements, submit quotations, or interact with other members.
- Accuracy: You represent and warrant that all information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete.
Credit System & Platform Mechanics
Our credit system ensures that only authentic and serious businesses interact on the platform.
Counter Offers: Both Buyers and Suppliers can submit counter-offers through the platform's internal system.
Deal Acceptance & Contact Exchange:
- To accept a quotation or deal, the Buyer must pay 10 Credits.
- Only after the Buyer successfully spends 10 Credits and accepts the deal will contact information (company name, phone number, email address, contact person) be unveiled to both parties.
- Prior to deal acceptance, all contact details remain strictly hidden.
Credit Non-Refundability: Credits used for quotations or deal acceptances are non-refundable once consumed, regardless of whether a physical deal is completed offline.
4. Zero-Tolerance Policy: Direct Contact Sharing & Account Suspension
To maintain platform security, prevent off-platform spam, and protect user privacy:
- Strict Prohibition: Users are strictly prohibited from sharing phone numbers, email addresses, website links, company names, physical addresses, or any other direct contact details via text messages, images, attached documents, or discussion posts prior to official deal acceptance.
- Immediate Suspension: Any attempt to bypass the platform by sharing contact information through uploaded documents, images, or chat text will result in immediate and permanent account suspension without prior notice or refund of remaining credits.
Limitation of Liability & Transactions
No Mediation in Trades: Once contact details are revealed following a deal acceptance, the platform's involvement ends completely.
User Responsibility: All subsequent negotiations, sales agreements, payment terms, currency exchanges, shipping, customs clearances, quality inspections, and returns are solely the responsibility of the Buyer and Supplier.
Disclaimer: The Marine Spares holds zero liability for:
- Financial losses, non-payments, or delayed payments.
- Damaged, counterfeit, incorrect, or undelivered spare parts.
- Misrepresentation by any Buyer or Supplier.
- Any disputes arising after contact details are exchanged.
Discussion Forum Guidelines
- The platform offers a community Discussion Page where registered users can post industry-related issues and questions.
- Logged-in users may respond to and assist with community posts.
- Users must refrain from using abusive language, posting promotional spam, or sharing private contact details on the discussion forum.
Modifications & Termination
The Marine Spares reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions, credit costs, or service features at any time.
We reserve the right to decline verification, suspend accounts, or terminate access for any user violating these terms.
